Obituary for Yandrisovitz Edward Sr.

Edward J. “E.J.” Yandrisovitz, 88, of Whitehall, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 17, 2021, in his home surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Stiles, PA to the late Ignatius and Angela (Wechsler) Yandrisovitz, he was the husband of Charlotte (Treichler) Yandrisovitz for 60 years. Edward was a 1950 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School and served with the Army National Guard. After his service he was employed by Giant Cement and then as chief mechanic at Whitehall Township until his retirement in 2005. Edward had a lifelong passion for music as he played guitar for local bands, The Happy Yanks, Arizona Ramblers and most recently The Lizard Creek Ramblers with his son, Kevin. He also enjoyed educating local communities and students with reptile shows for which he was affectionately known as “E.J. the Snakeman.” He was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Stiles. Surviving are his wife, daughter Sandra DeLucia of Whitehall, sons Edward, Jr. and wife Lynn of Whitehall, Brian “Knobs” and wife Toni of Florida, Kevin and wife Jennifer of Bath, grandchildren Stephanie Fernandes and husband Chris of Allentown, Eden Yandrisovitz and Evan Yandrisovitz of Whitehall and great-grandchildren Madolyn Fernandes and Christian Fernandes of Allentown, brother Robert Yanders of Whitehall. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
