William L. Ballard, 94, of Allentown, passed away December 25, 2022, at Phoebe Home in Allentown. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth M. Ballard, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage, and his son John D. Ballard.
Born in Bowie, Texas, he was the son of the late Curtis W.L. Ballard and Minnie Mae (Gee) Ballard. William and Ruth met at a square dance while Ruth was working as a nurse at Talihina Indian Hospital in Oklahoma. William was retired from the United States Navy and the Federal Aviation Administration. He was a member of St. John’s (Hain’s) United Church of Christ, Wernersville, PA.
William is survived by his sister, Sally Roberts, of Indiana and his daughter-in-law, Mary Ballard of Ohio.
