Obituary for Warren Miller

Warren W. Miller Jr., 76, of Slatington, PA left this world and moved on to a better place on Thursday, March 12th. He is survived by his wife Carol, three children: Steven Miller with wife Anne-Renee, Christine Wagner with partner Brian Derr, and Chad Miller with wife Audrey; eight grandchildren: Michael Wagner, Jeffrey Miller, Erika Wagner, Amy Miller, Jacob Miller, Rachel Wagner, Gaige Miller, and Trinity Miller; brother Richard Miller, and sisters Donna Keiser, Kathy Mutchler, and Sally Derkits.
Warren was raised in Packerton, PA and graduated from Lehighton High School in 1961. After high school he entered the military where he proudly served his country for four years in the U.S. Navy Air Corps. After the Navy he worked as a Machine Operator at Bethlehem Steel, where he worked for 32 years before retiring in 1997.
He was an avid outdoorsman and had many hobbies and interests throughout the years including hunting, archery, fishing, and coaching baseball with his sons. He excelled at archery, especially in his senior years, where he won a number of competitive tournaments both on the local and state level.
A church service will be held in his memory on March 21st at 10:00am at Union Evangelical Lutheran Church in Schnecksville, PA. A funeral service will follow immediately thereafter at the adjacent Neff’s UCC Church cemetery.
