Born: Feb. 22, 1950 in Plymouth, PA to parents of the late George and Lottie Berdy (nee Kozlowski) and a resident of Allentown, PA for over 45 years.
Died: May 19, 2021 after a 5-year battle with cancer.
Survivors: Wife Kathryn A Berdy (nee Follweiler) of Allentown, son Brian J Berdy (Kristie) of Harleysville PA, daughter Brandy A Pawloski of Schnecksville PA, stepson Daniel B Murphy (Connie) of Lewes, DE and stepdaughter Kelly (Reza) Farahani of Jupiter, FL. Sister Mary Ann Berdy-Rice (Tedd) of Discovery Bay, CA, and grandchildren Katelyn Berdy, Kyle Berdy, Raina Pawloski, Shannon Murphy, Daniella Murphy, Isabella Murphy, Ava Farahani and Sean Farahani.
Career: 30+ years in the Information Technology field. Starting his career as a programmer trainee and advancing to Vice President and Chief Information Officer of IT. He worked for companies PHEAA, Finance America, Chrysler First, Nations Credit, Copelco Corp and Travel Impressions.
Career Achievements: Recipient of Chrysler Corporation’s Lee Iacocca Award for Software Product Excellence and one of the first U.S. Patent holders for Computer Application Software.
