Obituary for Stanley Herster
Stanley E. Herster, age 72, of Allentown, his battle with cancer ended on Monday, April 26, 2021. He was the loving husband of Suzanne (Bortz) of 37 years.
Born in Bethlehem, He was the son of the late Earl and Hilda Herster.
Stanley was a graduate of Liberty High School. He worked as a baker for Groman’s Bakery and Maier's Stroehmann Bakery until his retirement.
Stanley loved baseball. He served as an umpire for over 40 years. He loved being in the outdoors whether that was hunting, fishing, archery or playing golf. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Including his wife Suzanne, Stanley is survived by his daughters; Sarah (fiance Craig) and Tina (wife Wendy) Herster and his brother Albert. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Earl.
A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Allentown Funeral and Cremation Services, 3438 Route 309, Orefield PA 18069 (inside the Hunsicker Funeral Home building) at 11am. Family and friends may call from 10-11am. A zoom like will be listed on the funeral home’s website at www.allentowncremationservices.com. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
