JoAnn Marie (Chatary) Flynn of Lehighton, passed away in the comfort of her home on December 28, 2018. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter to the late Elizabeth T. Chatary and Michael P. Chatary, Sr. JoAnn was a School bus driver at Levy School Bus. Joann was married to the late Benedict T Flynn. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael P Chatary, Jr. JoAnn is survived by her sons, Thomas B Flynn, John B Flynn, and Michael J Flynn; daughter, Bridget Gruber; sisters, Elizabeth Austin, Margaret Loftus, Francis Kowalski, and Helen Brockow; grandchildren, Ashley Grossman, Samuel Flynn, Samuel Nase, Brandon Flynn, Kevin Flynn, and Evan Flynn; and great-grandchildren, Carter Grossman and Leah Grossman. She also leaves behind her adored cat, Trouble. JoAnn had a passion for crocheting. Those who wish may donate in JoAnn's name to Any cancer charity. Friends and family can pay their respects at the graveside service on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m at Grandview Cemetery in Allentown.
