Obituary for Jeanette Nichol (Miller)

Jeanette E. Nichol, born May 5th, 1937, has peacefully passed away in her own home on Wednesday, January 25th, 2023. She was from Bethlehem, PA. Her parents were Eugene and Harriette Miller. In her younger years she was a dancer and loved to dance. She graduated Jenkintown High School where she participated in basketball, hockey, oratorio, Christmas pageants, current events club, reading club, French club, typing club, and school plays. She also attended Moravian College. Jeanette was also a devoted Girl Scout who even flew to Europe with them. She went into clerical bookkeeping for work and specifically enjoyed her employment at AAA. She also made candles for a period of time. Her legacy lives on through 2 siblings, 4 children, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

Jeanette enjoyed small pleasures in life. One her favorite things was was watch the world through her big window, in her comfy recliner, with her favorite cat Tia curled up on her lap. She also loved traveling, having a love/hate relationship watching Survivor (all the seasons). Not to mention she could have probably became an “honorary” detective from binging Law and Order 365 days EVERY year. She was also very talented in ceramics and shared her love for ceramics by bringing her family along to join and learn beside her. She loved taking her family to local baseball games. Jeanette was also a diner fan and visited all her local favorites. However, some of her top favorite dinner places always included Stanley's and getting some Hibachi.

Jeanette will be missed by all of us, but her spirit lives on inside all the lives she has touched. She is now in the loving hands of those who have passed on prior to her. The family would like everyone to know she is truly at peace and happily being “Grandma” from above.

A private burial will be held May 5th, 2023. An all-welcomed memorial to celebrate her life will be held at Stanley's Cellarette, 1626 Hanover Ave, Allentown PA 18109 on May 6, 2023 from 1-4pm.

In lieu of flowers, since Grandma always loved cats we ask those who are able to contribute to:
