Obituary for Jean DeVaughan
Jean DeVaughan (Age 68)
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 13, 2021. Beloved daughter of Everett and Yvonne DeVaughan, she is survived by her daughter Kathleen R. Aldrich, her husband John and their son John Everett, brothers Richard F. DeVaughan (Marnie) and Thomas L. DeVaughan (Cheryl), her great aunt Helen O'Donnell, and sister in-law Linda Lernetz (Jim).
Born February 23, 1953 in Alexandia, VA, Jean spent most of her life in Northern Virginia. After graduating from Wakefield High School in 1971, she worked as a human resources manager for Northrop Grumman and Mantech and also attended Northern Virginia Community College. Upon retirement, she moved to Orefield, PA to live with her daughter, son in-law, and grandson.
Jean had a passion for the arts her entire life. She started drawing and then fell in love with painting in her later years.
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 19, at 2pm at Allentown Funeral and Cremation Services, Route 309, Orefield, Pa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to support the arts of your choice.
