Obituary for Glen McCartney
Glen C. McCartney, 35, passed away peacefully at home on October 17, 2020 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Born in Staten Island, NY, May 30, 1985, to Glen J. and Vivian McCartney. He enjoyed a wonderful childhood with his sister and friends playing in the dirt and woods of Saratoga Springs, NY. Glen is a 2003 Parkland High School graduate and went on to work in the pharmaceutical packaging industry.
For those that knew Glen, knew him as a kind, caring, smart, loving guy with a quick wit and dry sense of humor. He would do anything for family and friends. An avid car enthusiast, he could always be found working on his car or out at a car show with a smile on his face.
He was a devoted son, brother, and uncle. Never straying from his NY roots, he could always go for a good slice of pizza and watching a Giants game.
In addition to his parents, Glen is survived by his sister, Kelly (McCartney) Sanders, his niece Oliva Sanders, as well as many loving Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation in Glen’s memory.
