It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Mr. Gerald David Dungee II, affectionately known as “Gery (as he spelled it) or Jerry,” of Washington Pennsylvania, announces his passing Friday, February 11, 2022, at 60 years of age.
Jerry passed away peacefully at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Jerry was residing in Macungie with his sister Wendy and her family. He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Wendy Dungee Peterson and her husband, David Peterson; Nita Dungee Riffle and her husband, Steven Riffle and Myla Dungee and her partner, Roy Berdine; along with four nephews, four nieces, and three great-nephews and two great-nieces, as well as four aunts and many cousins.
Gerald D. Dungee II is further survived by his fore-mentioned sisters, Wendy, Nita and Myla. He was predeceased by his father Gerald D. Dungee I, mother Mazie L. Patterson Dungee; and stepmother Rebecca L. Cunningham Dungee.
Gerald D. Dungee II was born October 21, 1961, in Washington, Pennsylvania, to Gerald David Dungee I and Mazie Loretta Patterson Dungee.
He enjoyed music, sightseeing, going for car rides, and visiting family and friends. He liked to be helpful despite his challenges. Jerry loved to laugh, and his smile and laughter was infectious. What Jerry enjoyed most was spending time with his
family. He and his dad were not only father and son, they were best friends.
He attended the Washington Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, and most recently the Zion Hill Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness.
He was a servant of Jehovah God and loved sharing in the ministry.
One of Jerry’s favorite scriptures is found at Luke 23:43 which says, “…Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in Paradise.”
Jerry will be remembered and cherished by all those whose lives were enriched by his warm, loving, and precious presence.
