Obituary for Frank Sivak

Frank Albert Sivak Jr, age 97, of Macungie, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital Allentown Campus. He was the loving husband of Joyce Sivak (Zettlemoyer), married 73 years.
Born in Newark, NJ, he was the son to the late Frank and Pauline Sivak (Schoma).
He was a WW2 veteran and played guitar and other instruments in the Army band. He entertained the people of the Lehigh Valley for over 50 years with his unique style and mastery of the guitar. Most of that time was spent at the George Washington Motor Lodge in Allentown and at Mount Airy Lodge in the Pocono Mountains. Frank was a regular at area restaurants such as Walp’s, The Village Inn, Pennsylvania restaurant and others. He performed at the Allentown Fair, solo and also with the bands playing with the headline acts at the grandstand. People he played with included Olivia Newton-John, Kate Smith, and Perry Como, just to mention a few. He also loved to paint and was interviewed for his sketches of the Presidents by the local paper.

In addition to his wife Joyce, Frank is survived by his children; David and Paulette, with husband Douglas, Grandchildren; Justin, Amanda, Troy and Preston, Great-Grandchildren; Kaela, Cameron, Cassie, Gavin, Mason and Shane.
He is preceded in death by his siblings; Johnny, Joey, Mike, Mary, Anna, Helen and Eva.
Services for Frank will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions for Frank may be made to his family c/o Allentown Funeral Cremation Services, 3438 Rt 309 Orefield PA 18069
