Obituary for Emilia Rivera Torres
Ms. Emilia Rivera Torres, age 71, passed away on January 6, 2020 at St.Lukes Hospital (Anderson Campus) - in the presence of her loving daughter Cynthia.
Ms. Emilia Rivera Torres was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on February 22, 1948. She was the youngest of Five siblings ( Hector, Irma, Elba, and Theresa). She was the mother to one daughter, Cynthia Lacen. Her daughter admired her mostly for her strength and independence. “ I would have not been able to survive all the things she has gone through (her pains and struggles) stated Cynthia. “I though she could fight this last one, but I was wrong” Cynthia said.
She worked as a Shareholder Supervisor for Inco Limited Inc. before she retired and relocated to Puerto Rico in search of warmer weather and lower cost of living.
She enjoyed going out, traveling, playing games on her tablet such as Candy Crush, shopping, cooking, eating, and theater. Her favorite animated Disney movie was Beauty and The Beast. She was the biggest kid at heart!
Prayer to the deceased will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2020 @ 4pm @ St. Janes Frances Church in Easton, PA.
