Edward Demyanovich, age 94, of Bethlehem, passed away in the comfort of his own home on Saturday, September 1, 2019. He was the loving husband of Barbara Demyanovich (Derlunas).
Born in Coaldale, Edward was the son of the late George and Mary Demyanovich (Gulick)
Edward faithfully served his country during WWII as a member of the United States Army, 82nd Airborne division. Though he rarely talked about his time in the service, Edward fought bravely in some of the most historic and important chapters of WWII including "The Battle Of The Bulgue" and Rhineland.
On the homefront, Edward was best known for his days working the barbershop.
In addition to his wife, Barbara, Edward is survived by his 4 children, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to Edward's parents, he is preceded in death by his son Nicholas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 7th, 2019 at St. Peter and Paul's Church of the parish of St. John's the XXIII, 307 Pine St. Tamaqua, PA 18252. Family and friends may call from 10-11am in the church social hall. Burial with military honors to follow mass at Skyview Memorial Park in Hometown, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Hospice.
