Obituary for Derek Brobst

Born in Allentown on October 20, 1987 to Dean Brobst and Deborah (Litzenberger) Brobst, Derek Tyler Brobst proudly came into the world as part of a loving family. As Derek grew up, he was always very outgoing and loved to hang out with his many cousins, brothers and sister. It was obvious that he always enjoyed laughing, having fun, and living life to the fullest while maintaining his absolute love for his family. He developed a great devotion for the Philadelphia Eagles as a result of his relationship with his late grandparents Jean & Arthur Brobst and could often be heard singing “Fly Eagles Fly!” whenever there was an upcoming game.
A graduate of Pottsgrove High School and Western Center for Technical Studies in auto body repair, he was known to enjoy a multitude of job fields to include his favorite of landscaping, and ultimately was an employee of the kitchen area in Bear Creek Resort.
Aside from his very active life, he will be most remembered for his love of God and others. Regardless of what life threw at him he never lost faith in Jesus as his Lord and Savior and would give the shirt off his back for anybody.
Derek was predeceased by his sister, Jenna, and his loving stepmom Ruth Brobst and grandfather Sonny Litzenberger. He is survived by his father, two brothers Dylan and Mario, 3 step-brothers and 3 step-sisters, grandmother Josie and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. While he will surely be missed since that fateful day on September 4th, 2019, we take joy in knowing he has been reunited with his Heavenly Father until one day we are able to join him.
All are welcome to join us at his last hurrah on Saturday September 14th at 10 am for a time of gathering and honoring his life at Cedar Church located at 3419 Broadway, Allentown, PA 18104. In lieu of flowers, the family requests making a donation to Servants, Inc. (100 Redco Ave, Suite C-0 Red Lion, PA 17356) with a memo in memorial to Derek Brobst.
