Obituary for Angel "Galo" Nunez
Angel Luis “Galo” Nunez, 57, of Allentown, PA, passed away on October 4, 2019.
Born and raised in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Angel and Idalia Nunez. Angel attended Barringer High School and Rutgers University. Angel worked as a graphic designer in New York City where he also attended classes at New York University. He has lived in the Lehigh Valley for more than 20 years.
Angel was an intellectual, a great dancer, athlete, artist, funny, conversationalist, and fun loving. He was active on social media and will be missed for his words of encouragement, joyful spirit and loving nature. His nickname, “Galo” short for “Regalo” or gift in Spanish, was fulfilled as he was indeed a gift to those who knew him.
Angel is survived by his son, Joel Alexander Nunez, grandchildren; Alexandra and Braxton Nunez, daughter-in-law Tania Nunez, brothers David Adiel Nunez, Miguel Angel Nunez, Eddie Berto Nunez, sister Yvette Alejandria Nunez and best friend, John Melendez. He is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers Luis and Jesus.
Family and friends may call on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 7-9pm at Allentown Cremation Services, 3438 Route 309, Orefield, PA 18069. A prayer service for Angel will be held during the viewing starting at 7:45pm.
